Notes: Features the "Iron Mike" sculpture, Monument to U.S. Marines by Robert Ingersoll Aitken, which stands in front of the Headquarters and Service Battalion Barracks at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island near Beaufort SC. A series of four panels showing recruits at worship is captioned in part, "Whether you are a Protestant, a Catholic, a Jew or a Mormon, there are services for your faith in the chapels on the post." Includes brief accounts of the Battle of Chapultepec (Sep 1847) and the Battle of Belleau Wood (Jun 1918).
